What are some benefits of Architecture over Interior Design?

I have been struggling with choosing my major before college. Ive been planning on becoming an architect, but I also have the idea of interior design in my head and would love some advice. #interior-design #interior #interior-architecture #majored

it is depends on your interest you love to design building blocks and build external environment or your interest in space planning and interior environment design. but when you are in field, in architecture you may have to wait longer to achieve success because architectural projects take time to build and live but once project built and completed your signature is there for life time where as interior projects are fast moving and makes you more experienced in few years. other than this in architectural projects there is significant roles of other engineering disciplines which are critical for your success as an architect. but interiors projects more over run by interior designers.

As an architect who became an Interior Designer I can say that the transition was easier than it would have been if I were an Interior Designer trying to become an architect. So, my suggestion is that if you are in doubt, go to Architecture school and then you can do a Master or other courses to become an Interior Designer. Please notice that NCIDq (http://www.ncidqexam.org/exam/eligibility-requirements/) is the certification required in most states to practice as an Interior Design and they do accept an Architecture Degree but you must have more hours of experience working as an Interior Designer.

Another advantage of Architecture is that salaries are usually higher than in Interior Design. You can check the United States Bureau of Labor statistics for current salaries (http://www.bls.gov/)

I hope this helps and good luck!
