Hi Javeres. Howard University is probably has the best HBCU law school. Thurgood Marshall, the first black Supreme Court justice attended Howard Law school. They have many legal programs outside of course work in which students can participate. Of course, being a law student in DC is amazing because you have the ability to attend arguments at the Supreme Court , as well as other courts in DC. I may be biased since I attended the law school, but I also think Howard is the top ranked HBCU in the law school rankings like US News and World report.

It really depends on what your specific interests are or what is considered the best to you.
These are considered the Power 6 of HBCU Law programs:
1. Howard University (DC)
The oldest HBCU law school. Considered 91 on list of best law schools overall in the US. Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Justice of the Supreme Court graduated from Howard. It is also a research university that has graduated more Black attorneys than any other law school in the United States. The lowest GPA in their law program is currently reported to be 3.01.
2. Florida A&M University (FL)
Also known as FAM-U, has been noted as being one of the more affordable options of HBCU law schools. It also leads in part-time law programs where it offers an evening program. They also rank highly in having the presence of minority faculty, as well as law students.
3. North Carolina Central University (NC)
The on-campus Law school has a large law library, a model law office, and smart classrooms. Offers specializations in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law. They are ranked highly for having a large presence of female faculty.
4. Southern University (LA)
The Southern law program has been around for over 70 years. It one of only two law schools in Louisiana. The school operates 7 law clinics from which their students gain experience. The school offers a study abroad program in London which gives students experience in International Law. On the lower end, the average law student's GPA is currently reported to be around 2.55.
5. Texas Southern University (TX)
Law school is named after Thurgood Marshall. School has 3 legal clinics in which students can work. They have an average acceptance rate with about 35.4% of applicants being accepted into their law program. Also known to have a low student to faculty ratio. They are reported to have a diverse student body as they are located in Houston, the 3rd largest city in the US.
6. University of the District of Columbia (DC)
One of the more recent, as the law school was founded in 1986. The only public law school in DC. Has a service based curriculum. First year students must do 40 hours of community service at a government agency or non-profit in the DC community. They do not have a major law library. Has a small graduate school body.
