Yes there are many different categories within fashion design. People specialize in the type of clothes, fabric, or the part of the process they want to work. For example you could specialize in knit or denim. Or you could specialize occasion gowns like bridal, or athletic wear. You could also choose to work with a large brand like Nike or go into the made to order/ small batch design.

Hi Jeada,
Fashion design offers so many exciting paths to explore! There's high fashion, like the iconic styles of Louis Vuitton and Gucci, and fast fashion with brands like H&M and Zara. You could dive into accessory design, creating stunning bags, or focus on denim, which has its own unique flair. Athletic fashion is also growing and offers fresh opportunities. Even T-shirt graphics can be a creative outlet. Each area needs general fashion skills, but they also have their own special touches. Think about what excites you the most and brings you the greatest joy and satisfaction. What path will you choose to follow your passion?
