Hi Zion! If you want to be an animator you need two very important qualities patients and the willingness to always learn no matter what level you reach. As an animator, you really have to learn how to adjust the appearance of characters until it "feels right" to do so you need to be willing to make many changes as you go along so you will be spending many hours tweaking and adjusting. This next tip is actually useful for both comic artists and animators and that is the need to learn observation skills. When drawing or animating it's important to understand to analyze reference footage or images to get a clear view of how someone moves through a scene and what poses they take, this understanding will make you much better a drawing or being a comic artist. As for an actor role, I think the most important thing to do is the ability to be open minded because while performing certain roles you may be given a character who would do things that you know you would never do, it's important to be able to stretch your imagination enough in these situations to think what would I do if this "was me". A word of advise about this list, if anything on this list intimidates you I wouldn't be worried about it, you'd be surprised the skills you can learn if you apply yourself and I believe you can learn to gain these skills too!
For more information on these subjects I would look into these resources: (An online library of animation knowledge): https://agora.community/library A book on acting: "Audition by Michael Shurtleff" Draw with Jazza youtube tutorials are very helpful for drawing: "https://youtu.be/4KfmA6cEpU0"

Ishan’s Answer

There is a common thread to all of these professions - storytelling. Do you love to tell stories? Are you able to tell a coherent story and keep your audience engaged? Does your audience resonate with what you say?

More importantly, to tell good stories, start listening or reading good stories. Start with the popular books because you are more likely to like them but do not hesitate if your interest is outside what is 'popular'. Learn from those whose stories you like. And get better.

Once you can tell a good story, a writing pen, an illustrator, a drawing pen are all just tools you can master any time in your life.
