Raj’s Answer

Hi Alex,

Regarding your question, first thing matters is which type of work you would like to do in Automotive industry (e.g. Automobile design, Aerodynamics of vehicle, Design of engine or other parts of the vehicle, Manufacturing, Automotive testing technician, Research & Development, Inventory control and optimization etc.). Automotive industry is huge, and you can get into that though 100s of different ways. So, you can follow the steps that I have mentioned below to get into Automobile industry in your area of interest.

Raj recommends the following next steps:

Explore (by random search or taking to different persons from automotive industry) different kind of work that you can do in Automotive Industry and try to find your interest in one for them.
If you are not sure about what would you like to do in automotive industry and want to peruse on engineering side. You can go for Mechanical Engineering as it will give you wide experience than Automobile Engineering.
Explore different Majors during your UG though subjects, projects, research and internships/co-ops and try to find a field in which you would like to build your Carrer.
Once you are sure about your area of interest, you can either find your job in that area or you can pursue further education in your area of interest too.
