Hi Murad,

It's very good that you want to pursue a Ph.D. There is one very important thing, Ph.D. is different from college. Searching the University and their requirement, qualification is VERY time consuming (I have been through there). However, this is the least that you can do, and you should do. I don't have a list for you, here is some reason why you should do by yourself.

1. As a Ph.D. student, you need to know why do you want to be a Ph.D., what do you want to know, how do you want to do it. Your future advisor/mentor (the professor) is very important, he or she is going to affect your career, directly or indirectly. While you busy ?searching the candidate University that doesn't ask for Master degree, it is necessary to know who is your candidate advisor. Are you interested in his or her expertise?

2. Each University has their own strength department, it might not be Economics. For example, there is a university super famous because of their law school, but have a bad reputation about their Economic department. You enroll that University is because they are the only one who gives you admission letter or because you really wanted to go? If you never do this homework? (the list), you might never know.

I notice you posted this question around July, maybe the reply is a bit too late, but when the time I saw this question, I think you are not ready for a "PhD program". As far as I know, in Japan most of the University doesn't except Ph.D student without Master (there are some exceptional: for example, medical doctor), while a lot of EU and US Universities take college student for Ph.D program. I do hope that you know what you are doing , and good luck.
