Joshua’s Answer

Hello there! With this question in my personal experience is more money is not always the best way to go. I have had colleagues that have gone onto these big schools (CIA, Johnson and wales, le cordón bleu) great workers, amazing chefs, but I’ve also met cooks that just couldn’t get it together to make it to that level. They didn’t have that drive, that passion, I.E the want to learn. I personally went to a junior college, JOLIET junior college. One of the best culinary schools I have ever seen. Not as much money as these big schools but they taught you the importance of quality and respect for the food. My advice? Try to seek a local school, it might surprise you depending on their will to teach that it might be better than going into 50l of debt and you could learn more
