What advice do you have for a studt schedule for someone who is looking to go into dental school?

I'm currently a senior in high school and want to know some good tips on how to make the transition for studying in high school to studying in my undergraduate years at college with a career goal in mind. Thank you!

For all health sciences classes I recommend exploration of the career in the clinical setting. For dental school specifically I recommend job shadowing all roles at your family Dentist office...with them, their hygienist and their staff. Round out the event by asking your school CDF for the paperwork to go towards "completor credit" or how to make it a structured field study by also touring a technical college that offers the major (like Greenville Technical college, or the Medical University of South Carolina, ask your counselor for more options) and completing the packet. Then if you haven't already set your schedule for your Sr. Year ask your school counselor for complementary classes for your school I.G.P., dual enrollment options (free college classes and highschool credits), and free options of study like MIT at https://www.ocw.mit.edu .

Stephanie LH recommends the following next steps:

Make a list of schools that have associates of dental hygiene, associates of science and a bridge to a bachelor's, or a bachelor's of science
Ask your CDF for self discovery assessments to validate your choice and skills
Try before you buy with job shadowing or informational interviews
Develop a personal budget for college and your lifestyle during college
Download apps or play games regularly with games to promote critical thinking and problems solving skills (these skills are essential in college curriculum for Biology and anatomy; both of which are required for health science majors)
