Katie’s Answer
Attend local networking events in your area, offer referral incentives to your current clients recommending your services, share photos of your work on social media, offer specials to get people in your chair and then hopefully transition them into long term clients. Look into opportunities to make connections with other people in the beauty industry that don't compete with you and discuss reciprocal marketing options (having your cards put out in their shop etc.)

You'll want to try to make contacts with 5 potential clients each weekday, however you have to brainstorm to make that happen. Join Facebook groups for your town or your interests or whatever, to get in touch with more people who might be discussing things like hair and stylists local to you.

Invest in your communication channels, it is worth the money to have an up-to-date, modern, easy to use website so that your hair business is the first one that people click on in the area to book appointments. Make it easy to use and simple to book appointments to draw in clients.
Utilise social media e.g tik tok, facebook, instagram and organise a few giveaways to gain traction. Post regularly of your clients results to encourage people to come.

Word of mouth is a great way to build clients. Ask your current happy clients to refer their friends and family to you. Ask their friends and family to say ‘so and so’ referred me. You would then give ‘so and so’ a referral discount on their next visit. This offers loyal clients a repeat discount while they say great things about you to others.
Thanks for the advice.
