How do I start my own business at 13 with my 15 year old sister?

I am in 7th grade and my sister and I want to start a name designing business.

Hi, Faith, are you referring to a logo design business? If so, taking art classes can be very beneficial. There are various computer programs that can assist, also. Typically, if your business sells services, a website that has good Search Engine Optimization (SEO) designed into it is essential.
You may be able to get a student who knows web-design to create one for you. A popular web design program is Wordpress. But this can wait until you have some designs as examples to display.

Get a used lawn mower and mow lawns. Mow lawns for seniors who can't afford a landscaping service. Be cheaper than the guys that drive around in big trucks with trailers and charge tons of money to mow lawns. Once the word gets around that you guys deliver good work at value prices, you'll develop a list of contacts that will grow with time. Once you get overwhelmed with the amount of business you have, you'll be able to begin hiring employees that work for you and expand your reach. You'll be amazed at how many customers you'll attract in a relatively short amount of time.
