You can use this list to identify the personal aspects of the school:
*look at their website to see if the school’s mission, vision, and values match you as a person and your values
*is the college small, medium, or large in student population
*is the location to far or close to where you would like to be in VA
Step # 2:
Next, look for the NCLEX pass rate for each school you are considering from step # 1. You can find this information at the Virginia Department of Health Professions (see website link in resources). Scroll down on the website until you see “NCLEX Pass Rates for the Current Year to Date” click “Registered Nursing Programs Current Year. You will also see links to look at NCLEX Pass Rates for each type of school, Associate, Baccalaureate, and Practical Nursing Programs. Please note, some people will say there is more to a program than pass rate. And this is true.
