Is it difficult to get into computer graphics engineering?

Computer graphics engineering is difficult but achievable with enough drive and passion. It's a very rewarding career, especially with the advent of AI models and need for generating computer graphics on prompts.
Computer graphics and Computer graphics engineering are two distinct fields. Computer graphics engineerivng requires a good knowledge of Programming and calculus mathematics. Understanding of basic computer graphics software and 3D modeling software are required only for checking how the tranlastion of the computer graphics programming happens on the front end. Python programming is one of the leading programming tools in this field. Also undertanding of how computer graphic drivers like OpenGL, Directx and functioning of Nvidia graphic card models are required.
Start with a good understanding of mathematics, especially Calculus and Graph Theory. Implement that in programming languages and using OpenGl and Directx drivers to generate computer graphics.
