I want has many openings to help me get into college and help be able to afford it.

I would look at the foundation website, of the college or university that you wish to attend.
All colleges and universities have a foundation, which manages private donations and the endowment for the institution. This includes private donor scholarships.
There are a variety of scholarships that are offered. Including ones based on majors, future occupations, activities, and other subject areas.
So, I would check the college or university foundation page, and see what is available.

Search for scholarships by googling scholarship. Apply to every scholarship. Ask your counselor at school. Sometimes your counselor can help you find scholarships.
You can search for local scholarships within your community. Or online. Collegeboard.org has resources on how to get scholarships.

Scholarship applications can start to be submitted during your Junior year and will continue throughout your Senior year in high school. It is best to ask your Academic Advisor/School Counselor on the timeline process as well. Scholarship applications will have specific deadlines and requirements to meet in order to be submitted for review and consideration. Multiple scholarships can be obtained at the same time and can be based on academic performance, sports involvement, community involvement and volunteerism, faith/church activities, etc.
You may want to start to compile your resume/portfolio since a majority of scholarship applications will require academic grade point average (GPA), academic accomplishments, school activities (clubs, sports, etc.), community involvement (volunteer, church, etc.), academic and personal recommendations, etc. There may be essay requirements on why you are a qualified candidate to receive the scholarship, what your future goals are academically and professionally and other questions centering around who you are, your beliefs, etc.
Scholarship committees are not always looking at the highest grades or if a student has all As throughout his or her high school journey. They are looking for a well-rounded students to be awarded the scholarships offered. There are various scholarships to apply for when a student is starting the college application process.
When reviewing colleges and universities, it is best to check the following:
- In-State vs Out of State Tuition
- Internships
- Scholarships
- Career Placement upon graduation
- Course work and offered classes
- Post-Graduate Degrees - Master and Doctoral

You are asking an very thoughtful question! The price of college can be intimidating, and scholarships are a great way to make your dream school more budget friendly!
All scholarships are good scholarships! The easiest way to find scholarships is through a google search, You can go down the list and apply for any that you qualify for. I would try to select scholarships that seem less common or more selective. If you are a part of any honor societies in school or in your local community, I would definitely apply for as many of those as possible since they are not open to as many people.
Even after you start college, there will still be plenty of opportunities to earn scholarship rewards. A lot of those opportunities may come directly from your school! So, even if you don't secure the amount you need in scholarships before your semester, rest assured that there will be more opportunities to come.
