Along with the fantastic advice you've already received, I'd love to share my top three tips on how you can further enhance your coding skills and open up more opportunities:

1.) Join coding contests where you can collaborate with a team to create a solution. Numerous events sponsored by various companies and organizations are available. You can easily find these gatherings (both in-person and online) with a quick internet search. As a university student, you're qualified to join an event currently being organized by IBM, which runs until October this year. Here's the link for more details:
