Nathan’s Answer

Getting a certificate in programming isn't a common thing because programming languages tends to be open source. Certification is when a private or public entity with appropriate authority over a subject declares that you meet their standards to a certain degree. Since no one can claim to be the gatekeeper of Python, Javascript, or C++, there are no real certificates for them. Now for something like Oracle or AWS you may find certificates, but that's because they are controlled by a single entity.

Instead of worrying about being certified, instead seek out to learn the programming language you are interested in and create examples of your work. If you favor Javascript then create a website that shows off what you're capable of. If you like Python then write a simple machine learning system to include in your portfolio. You essentially have to certify yourself with requirements stringent enough to convince an employer that you are capable of filling the position.
