I am a freshman in college who strives to be a surgeon, specifically a cardiothoracic surgeon. I completed a medical assisting program my senior year in high school and am now a registered medical. I am in organizations Hearts 4 the Homeless (H4H), and the National Society of Black Women in Medicine (NSBWM). H4H focuses on providing our homeless community with free health screenings. We provide blood pressure checks and aid in giving resources to those who need it the most. NSBWM puts emphasis on supporting young black women in their science related fields. I have participated in many outreach events, community service, and have gained insight from many women in health related fields.
