Chian-Han Hsu

My name is Chian-Han Hsu(Phoebe) and I was born in Taipei. When I went to senior high school. I met a very good English teacher during that time. My teacher used the student-centered teaching method to teach us. She encouraged us to ask questions in class. We were divided into small groups and discussed different topics with our group members. I liked this kind of teaching method and I felt it very interesting and not boring. She also encouraged me to attend English Recitation Contest and English Speech Contest. I demonstrated good performance in those contests. Those experiences helped me to strengthen my English oral expression.
After I went to college I chose English Literature to be my major. All of my professors were foreigners. They trained us in the ability of English reading and writing. Moreover, they also help us to improve our English speaking and listening ability. These help me to generate interest in teaching English. So, I decided to go to the U.S. to pursue my Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language after I graduated from college.
After I received my Master’s degree, I taught at Hess Language School, Kojen Language School, Kids Castle Language School, Shih Chien University, National Defense University, Ming Chi University of Technology and Longhwa University of Science and Technology. I got a lot of teaching experiences from my job. Moreover, I’m also an author of English reference books at I’m publishing groups. As I know, you are a non-profit organization, and you help a lot of students to solve their problems. It will be my pleasure if I have a chance to deliver my personalized career advice.
