What time management strategies work best for balancing classes, work, and personal life?

I am currently a freshman in college. I am majoring in elementary education, but also minoring in strength and conditioning, nutrition, and military leadership. I know that classes start off easier and get harder over time, what are some tips or tricks you suggest for balancing all you need to get done but also having time for yourself?

Gus’s Answer

The best way to manage your time and conflicting requirements is to stay organized. By creating Lists and Schedules, you can prioritize the items that are most important in both the short term and the long term. It can be difficult to balance a few different activities, but listing your school and personal needs out can make achieving those goals more reasonable.

Jerry’s Answer

MY, my, a major and two minors.

I can understand why you are thinking about trying to balance all that and still have a life.

First, it was your choice to take on two minors, which I am not criticizing you for in the least. But in doing so, you have limited the time for yourself.

On the other hand, classes do not necessarily get harder over time, not if one works diligently in the beginning, then as one moves along the classes are not necessarily more difficult, as one has already built a foundation.

And in all this mix, there is the question of time for yourself. Since I do not know you, time to do what for yourself? Only you can answer that, and like most people it becomes a balancing act.
