Lara’s Answer

Dear Alex,

It's completely normal to feel this way at your age. Everyone experiences this stage in their lives.

I remember when I had to choose my university path. I was torn between family advice, teachers' suggestions, and my own instincts.

My family wanted me to become a doctor or a lawyer for the good income and high status.

My teachers said I could go any direction since I was a good student, which made things even more confusing.

My instincts told me to pursue what I truly loved because university is tough, and the working world is even tougher. If I chose something I liked, I knew I would do it with joy.

In the end, I followed my heart and studied Foreign Languages and Literatures. It was amazing—one of the best experiences of my life. Plus, I could use it in my job.

Chase your dreams :)

Tatiana’s Answer

Hi Alex, it’s normal to feel uncertain. Trust that you're on the right path, even if it doesn't feel clear yet. Focus on progress, not perfection, and give yourself time to explore. Talking to mentors can also help you gain perspective and feel more confident. :D
