What is the best way to pick a college major?
I'm planning on majoring in accounting, but I'm still not firm on the idea, so I'm curious about the best way to make this decision.

If you're thinking about majoring in accounting, it's a great choice. Accounting is very flexible, and every business, whether small or large, needs it. If you're interested in starting your own business one day, these skills will be really important.
If you choose to work at an accounting firm right after college, you might get a chance to intern while still in school. This often leads to a job offer as soon as you graduate. I did this, and it worked out well for me and my classmates—we had jobs ready even before our senior year. Not every major offers such opportunities; some of my friends with different business majors had a hard time finding jobs.
If business is not for you, I would second these other answers about the process of choosing a major - find something that you enjoy and that fits you.

If you are interested in accounting, I feel like that is the best business major to go for. It's extremely versatile and every business, from start-ups to giant corporations, needs some form of accounting/bookkeeping. So if starting your own business someday interests you, these skills are essential.
If you decide to work at an accounting firm straight out of college, you would potentially be able to intern somewhere while in college, which leads to an almost guaranteed job as soon as you graduate. I went this route and it worked really well for me and other classmates of mine - we had jobs lined up before we started our senior year of college. This is not the case with every major - I know some of my peers with other business majors who struggled to find jobs out of school.
