What is the best way to incorporate programs such as Study Abroad with regular studies? #Spring25

I'm a high school senior currently choosing between two colleges (CSULB and Oxy) and wanted to know how to best fit study abroad into my education. Thanks!

To include studying abroad in your plans, here are some steps you can take:

1. Start early by looking into courses that match your major and interests. Talk with your academic advisors—they can help you pick the right courses and the best semester to go.
2. Finances are key if you're planning to study abroad. Plan ahead for costs like tuition, travel, housing, and insurance.

Studying abroad is a wonderful way to experience a new culture and see things from different perspectives.

On a personal note, I moved to the U.S. for my master's degree. It helped me learn more about technology and understand different cultures. I highly recommend spending some study time abroad—it really broadens your thinking.

Good luck!

Hi Laila! You can't go wrong with either college choice. I also studied abroad in the Spring semester of my Junior year of college and could not recommend it enough. If you know you want to study abroad, the key is to plan for it early. Let you college advisor know when you meet with them and they can work with you to curate your schedule around when you will be abroad as not all classes are offered abroad/credit transfers might vary depending on your school. It also helps to get in touch with upperclassmen at your school who have studied abroad to hear from their perspectives. So excited for you!
