How do you "level up" your current career to the career you've always dreamed about?
I'm a real big dreamer, and I see a gap between where I stand and where I want to be. For the longest, I believe action propel us towards change more than any other method because action led me to being in college. With that, I do have doubt whether or not action alone is all it takes to reach unimaginable heights. It feels like I'm taking baby steps towards a goal that's located in mars right now, and I'm asking what is needed to take flight and see more than just the horizon?

First — the way you're thinking already sets you apart. Most people never even ask questions this deep.
Here's the real secret to "leveling up" your career:
Action is absolutely necessary, but it’s not enough by itself. You also need clarity, consistency, and feedback to reach new heights.
Clarity: Know what specific next level you’re chasing — not just "success" but what success looks like for you.
Consistency: Dreamers move faster when they build daily, disciplined habits — even small ones.
Feedback: Growth happens fastest when you’re humble enough to ask mentors, leaders, and peers for honest input along the way.
Think of it like flying to Mars:
Big dream ✅
Rocket fuel (action) ✅
Navigation system (clarity and feedback) ✅
Steady course correction (consistency) ✅
You're already taking the first and hardest step by dreaming big and asking for better maps.
Stay patient, stay curious, and trust that small steps done daily build unimaginable momentum over time.
You don't just dream your way there — you build your way there. And you’re already doing it.

I usually tend to write a lot to students, but to better support you, I would need a bit more context or a few specific questions from your side.
When people dream about their perfect career or future, we often ask ourselves these key questions:
What are you good at?
What makes you passionate about it?
Is your future field in high demand and consistently needing new talent?
Does this field feel naturally easy or engaging for you?
If you answer "yes" to all of these, I truly believe you are on the right path to start building your dream career.
How do you get there?
If we constantly compare ourselves to others, it will feel like we can never even reach the moon — let alone Mars. But if we slowly and consistently start building our own rocket, step by step, eventually we will get there.
Progress, not comparison, is the key.
For example, I initially thought I was going to work in hospitality. However, life changed dramatically after COVID, and I had to reinvent myself. Even when I thought my future was "secure," I had to completely shift directions and study a new field.
Adaptability is crucial.
Also, reflect on these two important questions:
What are the things you are currently doing that are helping you?
What are the things you should stop doing that might be holding you back?
Sometimes small habits or actions can either speed up or delay our goals. Identify what you should start doing differently today to get closer to where you want to be.
And please, have a lot of patience with yourself.
Some people may have a house by the age of 23 but feel deeply unhappy. Others may only reach their greatest success at 45.
Everyone has their own timeline. Trust yours.
