Hi Sharath, while you're in college and after you graduate, you can find great internships. Focus on companies that interest you and build connections with your professors and other business leaders.

Hi Sharath, you can look for internship opportunities both while you're in college and after you graduate. Check with your college's placement department for companies that offer internships. You can also connect with your college alumni network on LinkedIn to find more options.

Hi Sharath, my best suggestion is to research and find requirements for the places you are interested in making your internship. I know here in US, depending in the employer, after graduation you can still apply for internship within a timeframe after your graduation date.

Hi Sharath,
While you can get internship during college as well as after college, the latter might prove to be more fruitful in terms of learning and career growth.
I would recommend that you already start researching potential projects/companies/start-ups which suit your interests.
After you have that list, you can:
- Get to know more about the orgs - Their mission, goals, workings etc. You can also start networking with respective individuals and execs.
- Gauge what skillsets are required and attune your remaining tenure to acquire those skills
- Start Cold Contacting them explaining your current intent as well as intent to join them full time after your graduation. This helps to already build a relationship with the org and increase your selection chances
Best of Luck!

You can definitely get an internship after graduation, even though many companies prefer current students. Since you're in your second year and have a passion for cars and bikes, this is a great time to gain practical experience. Start by applying for internships or volunteering at local garages or with mechanics. Focus on improving your skills in CAD tools like SolidWorks and CATIA. Learn more about manufacturing and automotive systems, work on personal projects, and join competitions like SAE BAJA or SUPRA to get hands-on experience and meet new people. Keep a portfolio of your work and stay active on LinkedIn and forums like Team-BHP and Eng-Tips to connect with professionals.
Check out opportunities on Internshala, LetsIntern, and AngelList, and look for roles at startups, IITs, NITs, government labs, and companies like Tata Motors, Mahindra, TVS, Bosch, and Maruti Suzuki. Make sure your resume stands out, contribute to open-source projects on GitHub, and join professional communities on LinkedIn, Slack, and Discord. Learn Python, MATLAB, 3D printing, and embedded systems through Coursera, Udemy, or edX to strengthen your profile. Stay updated on industry trends through news, YouTube, and magazines, and join college or local automotive clubs for more exposure. With your enthusiasm and a smart plan, these steps will help you get valuable internships and build a strong base for a successful career in mechanical engineering. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
