Thank you for your question.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Would you consider to be an accountant, finance manager, financial analyst, economist, human resources, marketing, etc. you can find out more relevant careers online.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Hello, Hlonela !

It's exciting that you are making plans and I would be very happy to provide some advice for you !

Although there are many Varsities that you can apply to, no one can choose one for you. You will also need to make a personal choice of career, also. What will you be majoring in at college ? You should first choose a career and then you can choose a Major for college and then you'd know which varsity would be best for you.

If you are interested in Business Studies as you've mentioned, you can look for varsities that have a very strong Business Major Program. Once you have decided the specific Career you want to aim for, you can then choose a Major that aligns with that career in a specific realm of business.

As you probably already know, the Varsity that is nearby to you is Buffalo City TVET College and they offer a Business Program. There are others in Central East London Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth, Queenstown, Grahamstown, so I would advise that you do a search online for the actual town you want to attend college at. No one can choose a Varsity for you. That is done by you after doing careful research of the colleges that you believe would have a good program for you. It also depends on how far away you want to go to study. So for right now, focus on choosing an exact career, and read about the different colleges to see which one looks best for your needs and circumstances. My advice is not to choose these things based on what someone who doesn't know you would list. Only you know what's best for yourself.

Something that always seems to be very helpful in deciding which varsity to attend is to register for an orientation at which you can have a tour of the campus and get lots of information and details from the representatives of each varsity. This would be perfect to start doing now. It will be a big investment financially and of your time, so you will have to be the one that evaluates the varsities and chooses one. If you do not have time to make a list yourself of all the varsities in general, ask you high school guidance counselor or teacher for a list as they should have that information available for Senior year High School Students.

So remember, start exploring the various realms of business for a career and explore the varsities and their Business Programs. That is how you will be able to choose one for yourself. I hope this helps for a start and I wish you well !
