I want to be a lawyer because im good at arguing and I always win an argument, teachers and family say I’d be a good lawyer because of how much I argue. Isabella: Crane Middle school is still a few steps away from being a lawyer. After high school (4 years) there's college (another4) after college law school (another 3) So you still have a bit of time to work this all out.
Arguing is part of the job...but so is writing, researching and learning. At his point Isabella, learn all you can from the great teachers at Crane and remember, the road to law is long and often hard. Enjoy the journey - go out and have fun!

First you have to graduate high school with good grades you have to graduate college with good grades and then you go to law school for 3 to 6 years. Then you must pass the bar exam, and if you do you can then practice law.
How much a lawyer makes can vary greatly. If you graduate from Harvard law School number one in your class you'll probably make three to four hundred thousand dollars your first year. In the event you go to a normal law School what you make will be based on what type of law you practice, if you can become a trial attorney, and getting hired by a good firm. I never worked for a firm I open my own law firm it took about 3 years I was a trial attorney and I made good money.
I hope this gives you some idea of what it is like. You will study very hard you will do a lot of research and you will work unbelievable hours as a new lawyer in a law firm. As time goes on you make more and more money as long as you are competent and good at what you do. Good luck

Choosing a job that suits you depends on your personal values and interests. As others have mentioned, the pay can vary, but being an attorney is generally a stable career with good job opportunities and a decent salary. I suggest checking out job search websites like Indeed to explore attorney positions in your area. This will help you understand the job requirements, experience needed, and salary expectations, giving you a clear idea of what to aim for.
Being an attorney can be mentally and emotionally demanding, as you'll face opposition in court. However, many attorneys maintain friendly relationships outside of work. If you enjoy subjects like history, laws, and state statutes, you might find law school more engaging. The education path is similar to other graduate programs, taking a bit longer than four years but not as long as some doctorate programs.
Consider reaching out to your local courthouse for shadowing opportunities or programs like "Teen Court" to experience a day in the life of an attorney. Remember, you'll need to pass the LSAT for law school admission and the BAR exam after graduation. While some find these exams challenging, with determination, you can succeed.
Good luck with your future plans!
