Hi Blessin! Law school is less about memorizing statutes and more about learning a new language: The Socratic Method. You’ll spend three years reading complex cases to train your brain to spot every possible argument from both sides—it’s mentally exhausting but deeply sharpening.
The Courtroom Feeling: Walking in feels like a mix of heavy responsibility and adrenaline. You are the "voice" for someone who can't speak for themselves; the gravity of the judge, the bailiff, and the records makes every word you say matter.
The "Work" of Law: Most of a lawyer's life isn't in court; it’s the hours of research and writing that win the case before you even walk through those doors.
The Community: You’ll build a "foxhole" bond with your classmates. They become your lifelong professional network.

Hi! Law school can be incredibly overwhelming. The teachers are intimidating at time (on purpose, for your personal growth) and the material is voluminous. However, you will find great satisfaction in overcoming both! I agree that it teaches you a new way to think/analyze the world around you. I enjoyed the mental challenge of the classes and formed lasting friendships. The courtroom quickly demonstrates why the teachers were tough in law school - that's where the true intimidation happens. But knowledge and experience bring confidence eventually. The experience has little if any resemblance to what you see on TV or in a movie. It is hours upon hours of research and writing to create filing documents and formulate arguments. I enjoy the challenge - not the external one, but the internal challenge of knowing that I can prepare and conquer something difficult. Wishing you all the best!
