Create engaging teasers and use AI tools to design visuals that match your story. Set up a new social media account with your book's name and start sharing these visuals. Post weekly, and if you have some budget, promote a few posts to attract more viewers. Encourage people to download your eBook with clear calls to action.

As someone who is very familiar with book marketing on social media, I would suggest posting short excerpts if you feel confident in doing so. You could include character descriptions or memorable dialogue that would encourage engagement. This also builds anticipation for the full book.

You could also make posts detailing your writing process, building a relationship with your audience through a firsthand look at how you write. It's humanizing and fairly low-effort.

The most effective platforms for the romance niches would be Instagram and TikTok (there's a reason BookTok is such a popular term now!)

Best of luck, Dakota!

Wilmer’s Answer

Success in book publishing—particularly with romance novels—lies initially in utilizing platforms such as Buenovela or similar sites, or perhaps creating a community on Facebook where you can share excerpts or snippets to gauge reader reactions as you progress. The key to success is building a community. Afterward, you can publish the complete novel on Amazon, Dra2digital, Lulu, or IngramSpark. I hope this helps. Best regards.

Mohan’s Answer

Small-town romance authors build a readership before launch by consistently sharing relatable content (tropes, characters, small-town vibes), engaging with niche communities, offering sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes updates, and building an email list through platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Goodreads to create early interest and loyal followers.
