When you become something like a veterinarian, do you still have time for other passions?
I want to become a veterinarian, but I am afraid I will no longer have time for my passions. I have always loved doing things like small taxidermy and insect pinning, but will I have time to truly enjoy them anymore? I love animals and want to pursue this career I just don't want to be miserable. Please let me know your experiences with this subject.

No matter what job you have, managing your time is important. It's about balancing what you give and take. If you really care about something, you'll find time for it. You might just need to get organized to make time for the things you love!

Hi Makenzie,
If you love insect pinning and taxidermy, it's important to find time for these hobbies, along with any new interests you might discover. Life can be busy, but you can decide what's most important to you and make sure to save time for those activities.
Have you thought about jobs that align with your passions? Maybe working at a museum or finding careers that involve these activities. Doing work you love and are passionate about is one of the best things you can aim for in your career.

Once you get settled into your career as a veterinarian you can certainly find free time to still express yourself through hobbies and interests outside of your typical work! It just takes some time management and practice to adjust to working full-time but it is definitely possible.
