Thank you for your question. You need to have work life balance. It San help you to do revision more effectively. Firstly, find a time management tool to help, eg Google Calendar, MS outlook, phone calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend lectures and tutorials
2. Assign some time every day on your projects and assignments. Review the material covered in the lectures on the day. If you have any questions, ask the tutor in next tutorial
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. Allocate some time for leisure and friends & family gathering
5. Assign more time to do revision and start early before assessment
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

How to succeed in college (especially when studying doesn’t feel effective)
First, this is very normal. A lot of students work hard but don’t see results because they’re not using the most effective strategies yet. The goal is to study smarter, not just longer.

1. Shift from “reviewing” to “active learning”
Common mistake: rereading notes or highlighting
What works better:
Quiz yourself without notes
Practice problems (especially for STEM)
Teach the material out loud like you’re explaining it to someone

👉 If you can explain it, you understand it.

2. Study in shorter, focused sessions
Instead of long, tiring sessions:
Study 25–50 minutes
Take a short break
Repeat

This helps your brain stay focused and retain more.

3. Focus on your weak areas
It feels good to review what you already know—but growth happens when you:
Spend more time on what confuses you
Ask questions early (professors, classmates, tutoring)
4. Use practice as your main study tool

For many classes:
Do practice exams
Redo homework problems
Find extra problems online

👉 This is one of the biggest differences between average and top students.

5. Learn from mistakes (this is key)
If you didn’t get the grade you expected:
Go back and see why
Was it misunderstanding concepts? Running out of time? Careless errors?
Then adjust your strategy—not just your effort.

6. Manage your time intentionally
Plan your week ahead
Break assignments into smaller tasks
Start earlier than you think you need to

👉 This helps reduce stress and procrastination.

7. Take care of your basics
It sounds simple, but it matters:
Sleep
Eat regularly
Take breaks
Your brain works better when you’re not exhausted.

Important mindset shift:
Hard work matters—but effective strategies matter more.
“If you study the same way, you’ll get the same results.”

Simple plan to try this week
Replace rereading with practice + self-testing
Study in short focused sessions
Spend extra time on what you don’t understand
Review mistakes after quizzes/tests

You’re already on the right track by noticing something isn’t working and wanting to improve, that’s exactly how successful students get better.
