Hey Emma! I hope you're doing well today :)

While I have not studied for nursing, I have experience studying for exams while working full time. Here's my advice:

1) Try to create a consistent schedule. For me, I would go straight to a library or cafe right after work, and get 1 hour of studying in before I go home. I knew that once I went home, I would be tired and wouldn't want to study. Therefore, I tried to prioritize studying first.

2) Try to be as consistent as possible! It's okay if you don't have the mental energy to get a huge studying session completed, but always try to sit down and build that habit of studying, even if it's only for 20 minutes!

3) Give yourself the rest that you need. Sometimes you'll be energized and ready to study after work, and sometimes you'll be exhausted. Listen to your body, and understand that it's okay if you need your rest for a day. This is not a sprint, it's a marathon, so take care of your body and your mind.

4) Have fun where you can! Whether it's at work, while studying, or on the weekend with friends, make sure your life is more than work and studying. It's hard to dedicate your time to studying and work if you're unhappy. Taking breaks to be with family and friends can do more help than you realize.

You got this! I believe in you.

Hi Emma, I totally understand what you're going through. Balancing work and school full-time is tough, but you can do it!

Creating a schedule really helped me. Plan out your work, study, and exercise times. Also, set aside time to prepare your meals. On your day off, spend an hour or two making meals for the week. A crock pot is great for this—just make something you love, like chili, and you'll have quick meals ready to go. Don't forget to schedule enough sleep. You need good rest to handle both work and school well.

Make sure to include time for yourself, whether it's spending time with friends and family, or watching your favorite show. A little discipline can make a big difference.

Try to manage distractions too. I used to set my phone to "do not disturb" for about an hour, then take a 5-10 minute break to stretch, grab a snack, or check messages. Your brain needs short breaks after about 45 minutes of work, and it's better to plan these breaks than to get distracted every time your phone buzzes.

You've got this, Emma! Keep going strong!
