How have international business and the topics related to it been used to improve the world so far?
I'm a senior in high school and will be majoring in International Business, but I'd like to know how it can be used to improve the world. Making a difference in the world is something that I'm set on doing and think it would be interesting to learn how my major has made positive impacts.

I studied International Business Management in the UK, which gave me exposure to a few key topcis includng business ethics, sustainabile business, supply chain management, decision-making and leadership. These topics were valuable, helping me develop the skills and knowledge to identify opportunities and think about how business can be used to make a positive diffference to the world.
It's also important to have a think about what your personal values are. When you are clear on what matters most to you, it becomes easier to gut-check your decisions and make sure your choices align with the impact you want to have.

Hello Khylah,
Your inquiry has been processed in my weekly mail. It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about your future—most professionals didn’t have it all figured out at your age. From an international perspective, because I live in Southeastern Europe (Western Balkans), the culture is different from that of your country; hence, I would suggest pursuing a double major in economics and philosophy, with a minor in political science. Those three make an impact on the world we are living in today. To be keen on philosophy, you need to have a passion for reading and writing. Celebrate small wins, like finishing a project or speaking up in class, because those moments add up to big growth. You will understand yourself more if you are a leader. Connections matter as much as skills. Reach out to teachers, alumni, or professionals in fields you’re curious about, because sometimes, from strangers, with your intuition, you can take back short messages. My background is in Finance, and I have, for some years, worked with a big corporate enterprise, where I have gained more experience. The non-profit organization is the kind of jobs who you can benefit more professionally regarding connections with other people, hence you develop the interpersonal skills. Hope it helps. Good luck!
