It's wonderful to see you exploring the combination of technology, AI, and psychology. This unique blend can lead to exciting career paths. Even if your B.Tech isn't from a top-tier college, your dedication and skill-building will be the key to your success.
Exciting Career Paths:
1. AI & Mental Health Apps: Create tools for therapy and emotional well-being. Opportunities are available in startups, health-tech companies, and research labs.
2. Affective Computing / Emotion AI: Teach AI to understand human emotions, useful in robotics and customer service.
3. Behavioral Data Scientist: Use psychology to analyze user behavior and improve digital experiences.
4. Human-Computer Interaction (HCI): Study how people use technology and design user-friendly systems.
5. Clinical Technology Research: Work with psychologists to develop diagnostic tools and cognitive training platforms.
Growing Demand:
The global need for AI and psychology integration is rising, especially in mental health tech and emotion AI.
Your Path Forward:
1. Focus on AI/ML basics during your B.Tech and work on projects that mix psychology, like emotion recognition.
2. Build a GitHub portfolio with interdisciplinary projects.
3. Look for internships in health-tech startups or AI companies focused on human-centric applications.
4. Consider a master's degree abroad at a top university combining AI and cognitive science, like MIT, Stanford, or University College London.
5. Specialize further with a master's or PhD to open doors to global research and industry roles.
Remember, the jobs you are dreaming of do exist. The journey might not be straightforward, but combining psychology with AI is the future. With hard work and further studies, you can create a career that is both fulfilling and in high demand. Wishing you all the very best for your future.
