Since you are 16, you have a clear path ahead: join the Job Corps now, get construction training, finish high school, turn 18, and then apply for an apprenticeship with Local 527. This leads to a paid apprenticeship and eventually becoming a cement mason, which is a wonderful career. The apprenticeship wage ranges from $26.29 to $39.43 per hour, with a journey-level wage of $43.81 per hour.
