I believe that there are too few coaches or people aspiring to be coaches. Which is not bad because everything needs balance in life. I wouldn’t let that sway my decision. If you have the passion go for it and don’t look back.

There is always availability to coach for a local youth sports organization! They're always looking for more people and the experience can help launch your career in the sports coaching industry. I wouldn't worry too much about if there are too many or too few, if you have the experience, have a passion for coaching, and excel in it, you will be successful and can grow from there. A typical coaching career path might look like youth sports --> high school sports --> college assistant --> head coach.
