Denitsa’s Answer

hi!

Sometimes it can be hard to travel a lot for work, but definitely it is the best way to meet your customers, set objectives and have a better relation. The work-life balance is important, so you need to organize it all correctly.

hope this helps!

Traveling could be tiresome, but rewarding depending on the reason for the travel. It is also a good way to network with other people in the industry.

Geeniya’s Answer

Hello Michael,

My work includes constant travel to customer location across the globe. I can say it can be fun to travel for a short span of time, visiting a new country, learning about their culture, food, festival, lingo, etc. For longer duration stays it makes me a little homesick. I would say you should definitely go for a job which includes travel because it helps you grow as a person. You can learn so much from different cultures. Also when you have to work with multi-cultural groups you will be more confident since you would know their style of work.

Good Luck!

Marilyn’s Answer

Hi Michael,
I think travel for your work can be fun and exciting, but over a long period of time it can be wearing, not to mention a stressor for your family life. Be sure to have cooperation from other family members and find a good balance. It may be a temporary necessity to travel and your duties may change as time goes on.
Best of luck,
Marilyn Lowry

Rachael’s Answer

Hi Michael! I work at PwC and spent the first four years of my career in financing consulting. This job required me to travel every week (Monday-Thursday) for work and client meetings. Typically I would fly out early on Monday morning (6 or 7am flight) and return Thursday night (around 6pm) and stay at hotels during the week. I almost always was traveling with other team members, so I would work with my team during the day and attend client meetings in person throughout the week. In the evenings we would do team or client dinners or I would explore the city or sign up for workout classes. Sometimes it can be hard to travel a lot for work, which is why it's important to set healthy boundaries on the road! I always made time to workout in the evenings. I hope this helps!

Joseph’s Answer

to see and do Michael,

That is a great question. I have spent the past four years of my career in Sales, which requires constant travel. I for one, have always enjoyed traveling. It is usually very tiring and requires long days away from friends and family. So if you are a homebody and don't like being away, than it may not be for you. What I have always loved about it was the chance to see new things and gain new experiences. Also, the opportunity to meet new people and network is excellent. The way it has gotten more natural for me over time was implementing a routine. I make sure that I eat healthy, work out and still find some personal time while I'm on the road. When I don't do this. It will break me down over time and become too exhausting. I hope this answers your question.
