IT is a very broad field. I would say the fastest way would be to go get your associates from a community college and then look for entry level IT jobs ( such as helpdesk support, database administration, or website design). I say community college because they often have partnerships with industry partners that will be looking for people with that background.
However I would say don't just wait until you have a degree - look around your area to see if any businesses are hiring in a similar field (electronics sales/small businesses looking for help with their IT) - you can work part time while working on your career. In the early years of your career you should try to get as much exposure to as many different technologies as you can.
