Being a dental hygienist is truly rewarding for me! The part I love the most is being able to make a real difference in people's oral health and, in turn, their overall wellness. What I like most about being a dental hygienist is getting to know my patients. I have practiced in the same dental office for many years, so I have seen my patients families grow. Their children are now grown and having their own children. It is like having a large extended family.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics current Occupational Outlook Handbook, the median national annual salary for dental hygienists is $72,910. Actual salaries may vary greatly based on specialization within the field, location, years of experience and a variety of other factors.
