If I want to go into trauma nursing, would going through the military prepare me more or should I just get my degree through college?

I'm not quite sure that I will be able to handle the emotional challenges that come with the job, so I was just wondering if it would prepare me better? #trauma-nursing #nurse #nursing #military-medic #military #emergency-medicine

Reginald’s Answer

The military could certainly use good medical staff for trauma work, but this is not for everyone. There is plenty of opportunity to develop trauma skills in major cities in the US.

Robert’s Answer

I would only go into the military if you are interested in serving your country in that capacity. You will certainly get all the experience you require for trauma nursing in whatever training program you choose.
