Did you do an internet search by topic and "volunteer"? What are your interests? I have heard of organizations looking for translators and web assistance. We (my company) sends inspirational cards to youth in foster care and another one for people with depression. There is a group that does "tech" classes for middle-school age girls (TechGrlz??) There is an app "Be My Eyes" where you can volunteer and assist people with visual difficulties.
