Thinking about Social Psychology

My dream is to work with and study the behavior of great apes such as; orangutans and gorillas. I will be mastering in primate behavior in 5-7 years. I am thinking about majoring in Social Psychology in the next 3 year. Howdy,
That could be a good option depending on the school, but Psychology (at least where ive looked), has mostly been with a human focus. Look for Ethology if you can, as that is the study of animal behavior.Where i'm going to school, i'm majoring in Wildlife with emphasis on animal behavior, and with a psych minor.
You could also go looking for wildlife (biological) conservation with a psych minor. Really it boils down to the school, and what they offer.
