It can be hard. But nothing worthwhile is easy. First you have to define what success means to you. Is it in money? Is it happiness? So once you define what that is for you then you pursue that. Find out what makes you happy. Find out what you love to do. You may have to gain mastery in it. For example, if I wanted to be a great speaker. I would have to read lots of books and watch lots of videos on public speaking, and learn everything there is to know about speaking. So I can move up the ladder of success. The elevator to success is broken. Only the stairs are available now. Follow your dreams. Do what you love. Do what makes you happy. And become great at it.

Success = completion of any goal and objective.

Success can be loosely or closely managed - and the measure of success may vary per person or per team - so while you may think you have success others may disagree.

To ensure alignment of what it means to be successful - self or team - agree on what, why, when, who, where and how - both qualitative and quantitive.
