Career paths for artist/interior design
What should I do as a career if I'm interested in art and interior design?

Hey there! There's a lot of different path options in those fields. For interior design, there's obviously interior design, but if you wanted to do more the shapes and aesthetics of the overall interior of a room/building, there's architecture. There's also decoration as well. For art, there's a PLETHORA: Graphic Design, Digital Arts, 3D Art, Game Arts, Music and Video, and the list can go on, depending how you define art. Well, I think you answered your own question, if you like art and interior design, look at a career as a interior designer.
Interior designers are responsible for the "look" of an interior space. They coordinate the overall color scheme, the furniture, the floor treatments, the paint and wallpaper, the window treatments, and so on. They work with private individuals who hire interior designers for their homes, and with businesses such as stores, movie theatres, office buildings, and so on. It is a very creative field, and you can major in interior design mostly in art schools, but some colleges and universities may offer this major. As a high school student, you should be taking art classes, including computer graphics. Talk to your current art teachers for more ideas about interior design.
