How much you can earn with commissions really depends on how much time you have to dedicate to your art and promoting your art online and in-person. Build your online artist presence by having dedicated social media accounts, join online art communities, consider live-streaming your process and making process videos to post on social media. Platforms like fiverr offer a digitally streamlined transactional platform for artists and buyers and you can offer all kinds of art commission services. Post samples of your work and offer commissions on your personal social media as well, artists first sales are often to friends and family.
Commissions can be a great way to make money as an artist, but can sometimes feel discouraging as you’re getting yourself established. Don’t give up and remember, the more you practice the better you get!

There is no set timeline for a commission job. It's really all about when the right person happens upon your art. To increase your chances, make as much work as you can and put it in as many places as you can. Once you get a commission, you'll start understanding what people are most likely to ask you for one, and you can focus on that audience. Be careful, though, because all of a sudden it could dry up for absolutely no reason.

Artists pay commissions to people who showcase their art and secure buyers. If you desire that role, you need to invest in funding gallery shows for artists and advertise the event. Then, when a work of art sells, you will receive a commission. Good luck. That can be an enjoyable profession if your commissions greatly exceed your exhibition funds.

Having a well built up social media presence or a website will help. Putting the work in on the back end before you open yourself up to commissions will help people who enjoy your work to find you and commission you to make something. If you have the opportunity and time to go to anime conventions or other similar conventions to show off the quality of your work that is a great place to start. Let your work speak for itself and people will be interested in you. It may take a while to get a commission, but don't get discouraged. The first sake you make, ask if the person can send you pictures of them in the suit or give a testimony that you can share.
