What is a career path that can allow me to fulfill my passions of design/art and sustainability/helping people?
I have decided to switch universities as I was not happy. I realized I really enjoy helping others and inspiring people to be more sustainable. I have always cared about the environment and animals. I would love to find a career that also allows me to be creative or somehow includes art and visuals. I’m also entrepreneurial and enjoy leading.

UX design would be one of the fields you might be interested in..It involves people, design, art, creativity and an helping attitude .Browse on the internet, try learning from few free courses and validate your interest. Then you can pursue further.

Hi Isabella! Absolutely! Art and creativity are pivotal to the movement. Echoing others input here, there are many roles that might suit your interests and strengths. Climate communications is critical to help distill complex concepts or motivate people toward action. You could look into art builds and installations, digital media, and or social media as areas to checkout. There are artists who create complex illustrations to be used by storytellers to communicate about the climate crisis. Check out the Narrative Initiative for an example of this!

Isabella, there is a whole industry in the world of sustainable fashion, clothing, and vegan/plant based leather. Sustainable sourced fabrics and organic clothing textiles is becoming more and more in demand but there are not enough suppliers and manufacturers to keep up. I would look into programs at FIT in NYC and I am a graduate of the Sustainability program at Harvard University where our largest sustainability program is offered through the extension school which has open enrollment and you can design your own curriculum to what part of sustainability you want to specialize in. Harvard Extension School is one of the 12 degree granting schools of Harvard University and has the best program in Sustainable.
