Daniel’s Answer

A four year degree at a medical school on average costs about a quarter of a million dollars (250,000$). Yet, there are plenty of ways to get this number to the lower side. For instance, you can earn scholarships or financial aid during your application process. Also, you can apply to an in-state university. These are often significant discounts for those who take classes at a state school. For reference, Umass Amherst is close to 50,000$ for out of state but can drop to as low as 20k for people from Massachusetts.

This is highly variable depending on where you go to med school. If you have particular med schools in mind, you should be able to check the price on their websites. Good luck!

Richard’s Answer

In Texas, tuition and fees for in-state student is about $25,000 per year, and about $40,00 for out-of-state students. Attending a public university can certainly save money over the 4 years.
