Pratiksha’s Answer

It might seem counterintuitive, but a lot of jobs from engineering to sales to finance require creativity (creative problem solving) and knowledge (continuous learning, industry know-how, and technical skills) and provide financial stability. You can pursue any corporate role in departments like financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, corporate development, marketing, or more technical roles like engineering, data analytics.

Rafael’s Answer

Based on your values of creativity, knowledge/education, and wealth/money, some more casual job or career paths that might align with these values include freelance writing, where you can express your creativity through writing and potentially earn income through various projects; event planning, which allows you to utilize your creativity in organizing and designing events while continuously learning and staying updated with event trends; becoming a personal trainer, which combines your passion for fitness and helping others while potentially earning income through training sessions or classes; and working as a social media manager, where you can utilize your creativity and knowledge of social media platforms to create engaging content and potentially earn income through client work or sponsored posts. These suggestions offer opportunities for creativity, continuous learning, and the potential for financial success, aligning with your values. Regardless of the specific career path you choose, you can always incorporate your values!

Andrew’s Answer

Hello, when you're choosing a career, it's crucial to pick one that matches your passions. Look into various job options that are in line with your interests and pastimes outside of your academic life. While earning a good salary is important, it shouldn't be the sole determinant of your career choice. A career that offers challenges, satisfaction, and opportunities for personal and professional development can often be more rewarding than just monetary benefits.

There are several jobs where creativity is needed to thrive. I work in the learning and development team for a large corporation. The type of work we do is design and create learning to help our employees be their best at their job! Everyday is different and creativity and curiosity is necessary with how people work changing with the advancement of technology. My advice is to ask others about the work they do. Learn about a variety of careers and see which ones feel like it fits into what you love. You might be surprised on what you find out!

Karen’s Answer

Hello Haylee,

Imagine embarking on a career in banking as a personal banker. This role empowers you to guide customers through various banking products and services, helping them navigate their financial journey at every turn. Alternatively, you could consider becoming a financial advisor. In this position, you would have the opportunity to craft tailored financial plans for customers, aiding them in wealth creation and making wise decisions for their financial future. Both these paths offer a fulfilling career that aligns with your values, making every day at work rewarding.

Gary’s Answer

Hey Haylee,

Achievement and education often go hand in hand and so I'm happy to hear that you're already thinking of how to create a path to your goals. Ultimately finding your own passion is the path I would recommend for you. You can find success in a huge number of industries and it will be really important that you are able to continue prioritizing your own interests and remain engaged on what you are working on if you want to make a big impact. For a specific recommendation, if you are interested in AI or Machine Learning at all, that may be a great field for you. Many of the top product managers & engineers in this area have advanced degrees (masters & PHDs) and are on the cutting edge of their field. And with how impactful this technology may be during our lifetimes, it's as safe a bet economically as any I can imagine.
