I have been working at the US Department of Agriculture since 2012. I have a BS in biology, a MS in plant population genetics and a PhD in plant molecular genetics. I have attended 3 community colleges, a UC, a CSU and a foreign university. My path has been varied and interspersed with careers. There is no one way to earn a degree nor is it always necessary to get an advanced degree. Be flexible and be creative to get where you want to go.
