About

My name is Rheana, and my job is to develop and devise career plans that set my clients up for success. I enjoy meeting people at their own level to help them see a future of prosperity for themselves. Whether we know it or not, many times, clients don't see success in their future. A Career Coach can say that the possibilities are endless and give you all of the skills you need to be successful, but you've got to believe it yourself! A great resume may get you to an interview, but your confidence is what will land you the job. I'm great at helping others see their full potential - especially when they don't realize it's there!

While I'm passionate about helping my clients achieve greatness in their careers, their education serves as the foundation to it all. Not only is a solid education a bonus in the professional world, but it also teaches us life skills including perseverance, building relationships, and time management. I believe a solid education is a huge piece to success in life and I’m dedicated to helping others meet their definition of success.

Feel free to contact me at rheana@elitecareerdesign.com with any questions, comments, or feedback. I look forward to helping you reach your career and educational goals.

Rheana’s Career Stories

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

After graduating from college and officially starting my job search, I was more thrilled about the job search process than my first day on the job. In fact, even after I was offered a job and accepted it, I was still on the search. There was something captivating to me about searching through positions to find the best fit for my skills. I enjoyed tailoring my resume to each job description and being called for interviews. After successfully winning the hiring team over during the interview with my superior people skills, I would grin ear-to-ear when I was offered the job. Not so much because I was excited to begin working, but because my career skills proved to be effective. My love for searching for a career blossomed, and I began to help others reach their career goals.

What is the biggest challenge you had to overcome to get to where you are now professionally? How did you overcome it?

Having worked several full-time salaried jobs, I was used to receiving a paycheck every two weeks. I knew that as long as I clocked in and clocked out for the day, I'd be getting paid. The biggest challenge of being a Career Coach and starting my own business is that I'm not paid hourly - I'm only paid for the specific work I do for my clients. On a daily basis, I spend lots of time networking, writing blogs, updating my website, reading articles, and studying for new certifications. These tasks are necessary for me to be a successful Career Coach and business owner, but I'm not paid for these tasks. A lot of my time is spent building my business, and while I know it will be fruitful in the end, I had to realize early on that I needed to put in a lot of free labor to grow my client base.
