Many actors from England, New Zealand, Canada and Australia have made substantial careers in the U.S. Since actors are evaluated on physical appearance and the way their voice sounds, this is important to keep in mind.
The very first thing the student should do is decide and be definite about what college to apply to. Housing is equally important. Housing could be situated first and then a choice of college, or vice versa. The student needs to know exactly where they'll live before coming to the U.S.
The student will need to visit their local U.S. Department of State - Consular Affairs (Student Visas) at U.S. Embassies and Consulates in the country in which they live. It would be there that they could obtain their student visa.
Once the person is enrolled in college as a Theatre or Film Major (emphasis on Acting), the person can then apply for any scholarships offered at the university they are attending. They can also apply for generic scholarships that are different categories that they meet the requirements of. There are also scholarships for foreign students from various countries who want to study in America.
