How would you compare the difference between L&D nursing and nursing on other floors?

I'm in a LPN program soon doing a LPN to RN bridge program once I graduate. I plan on being a labor and delivery nurse once I get my RN.

Great question Carisa! Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing is a unique specialty within the broader field of nursing, and it differs significantly from nursing on other hospital floors in both daily responsibilities and required skill sets.

Thank you comment icon Hi Ponnu! While this is accurate, this answer could be made even more helpful if you added some details around HOW the roles and responsibilities/required skill set differ. Could you please share more on that? Gurpreet Lally, Admin
